Bio:
Prior to joining JHM, DJ worked for a firm in Asheville, North Carolina, concentrating primarily on taxation, but also being trained in business valuations, audits, and compilations. After leaving Asheville, DJ started and ran his own accounting office in Virginia and obtained a law degree. While in law school, he was the Managing Editor of the Appalachian Journal of Natural Resources Law, the National Student Director of Volunteer Income Tax Assistance, and the ABA Liaison for the Section of Taxation. DJ has also worked for Pisgah Legal Aid, in which he researched federal and state income tax issues, including Social Security topics, and for John M. Cunningham, P.L.L.C., in which he researched LLC and S Corporation issues.
