WHAT OUR CLIENTS SAY ABOUT US
AUDIT & ASSURANCE / FAQS
We perform services for all types of industries. We are heavily concentrated in construction, nonprofits, healthcare, governments, affordable housing, manufacturing, employee benefit plans and single audits.
- Preparation – no assurance provided on the financial statements.
- Compilation – no assurance provided on the financial statements, other than a brief overview of reasonableness.
- Review – A review includes primarily applying analytical procedures to management’s financial data and making inquiries of company management.
- Audit – The highest level of assurance. We perform procedures to obtain audit evidence about the amounts and disclosures in the financial statements. We will also issue an opinion on the financial statements.
It depends. Banks could require an audit depending on your debt or loan covenants. Depending on the state you operate, there could be state or federal requirements for an audit. For example, in the state of Tennessee there is a charitable solicitation requirement. Also, some federal grants could require an audit. For contractors, there could be an audit required to achieve bonding or state licensure. Or just as an additional oversight, some companies choose for themselves to have an audit.
